Magnolia Blossom is considered by many to be Imogen's most renowned photograph.  This signed print from Meg Partridge's personal collection was given to her by her father who received it from Imogen's estate.

The provenance labels on the back of this image trace its history from Imogen Cunningham.  This print was conveyed to the Imogen Cunningham Trust by Imogen and labeled "not for resale" prior to being transferred to Rondal Partridge, one of Imogen Cunningham's heirs.

Dear Meg,

Thank you so much for all the work you did researching Rainier 6.

I am terribly excited to hear that there is a platinum print of this image made by your father. At $3500 it is more than I imagined  spending, but let me know the size and confirm the price.  I'll  consider it very seriously.

If I decide I can't manage the platinum, I would be interested in a  silver print at $1800, especially if you could find me one printed by  your father. I would be very happy to have a print of your father's  because I believe from everything I've read that his work is  beautiful (unfortunately, I've never seen it in person) and because there's something thrilling to me about a son helping to perpetuate  his mother's work. The fact that the model in this case is his father  makes the object even richer. If you, the printer's daughter, and the  granddaughter of the model and photographer  were to be the person I  acquired the print from, it would be very cool indeed!  And all this  in addition to what's basic for me -- the exquisite beauty of the  image itself.

On that subject, I wonder if it's possible to see a good scan of  either the platinum print or the silver print. The only large-size  image I've seen is in Judy Dater's book.

It is so amazing to me that I could get on the Internet and be so  easily in touch with you directly this way. I look forward to hearing  back from when you have more information,

With best regards and thanks again,

Barbara
